Our scanning probe microscopes are using our fully digital controller and our scan software ScanTool™.
The specifications of out controller C26 are:
- Triple CPU Design, 1x32 MHz, 1x16 MHz, 1 FPGA 80 MHz, for autonomous scan operation and realtime processing
- Feedback: 32 bit internal resolution
- Full digital (PID filtered) or digital/analog (P filtered) operation, active Q-control
- Digital lock-in based AC detection, fully digital AC signal, synthesizer (Q Booster) and demodulator
- Built in automatic self test
- Automatic z detector gain adjustment
- All signals accessible, 8 channels simultaneously available
- AC amplitude selectable over a large range (high sensitivity high reliability for automation, unique feature)
There exist many add-ons to our instruments, depending on the type of desired measurement. One example is our FPGA based Lock-In combination device DiProWa, which supports various electrical measurements like Kelvin-Probe-Force-Microscopy (KFPM).
With new controller generation C32 many new features are available:
- Full digital design with access to 33 different measurement signals
- Two general purpose built in 40 MHz lock-in amplifiers which can be used together (stacked or double frequency lock-in) or alone
- All parameters can be stored into predefined setups, which allows single click-switch between different scan modes also involving e.g. lockin settings
- Z Modulation with dedicated lockin, which can also be used as feedback signal
- smaller phase shifts and shorter delays on the analog inputs permits higher loop gain settings and therefore faster scan speed
- Built-in oscilloscope function with spectrum analyzer
- 5 External Inputs
- X/Y/Z closedloop support
- up to 4096x4096 image points in 64 bit software version
- Communication with PC via ethernet
- Backwards compatible to all DME SPM scanners
- includes all functions of the DiProWa, so that no addition tool is needed anymore for measurements like Kelvin-Probe-Force-Microscopy (KFPM)
